I'm Tamara Jewell, the heart behind Aura Home Refresh — a one woman cleaning and organizing business in Portland, Oregon. For every client, my goal is to provide thoughtful and effective support that makes home feel a little (or a lot) lighter and brighter. Through good ol' hard work, genuine care, and having a deep understanding of the psychology behind chaos — I aim to bring relief, dignity, and shine to every home I visit.
As someone with ADHD and a history of depression, I've witnessed firsthand how quickly a messy environment can become overwhelming, even debilitating. I also understand the importance of a fresh start — a chance at a cleaner and brighter future for yourself, no matter the mess of the past or present.
At Aura Home Refresh, wellness starts with the safe ingredients used inside your home. Gone are the days of relying on harsh chemicals with strong fumes to tackle everyday messes! I offer 100% natural and fragrance-free cleanings at no extra charge — because the health of you and your loved ones shouldn't come at a cost. Some gentle brands I use include Mrs. Meyers, Clean Cult, Method, Scrub Daddy, and more! I strive to have options for every preference, so I always have more traditional, heavy-duty products on hand as well.
I service all of Portland and most surrounding areas — and I can travel up to fifty miles for really big cleanings! For a long distance cleaning, I ask that you book a free phone consultation to see if you qualify. I also offer free consultations for other large projects and anyone who simply wishes to chat with me prior to booking — whatever you need to feel comfortable! Simplicity, accessibility, and genuine care are just a few things that set Aura Home Refresh apart. For an hourly rate of $25, you'll receive experienced, trustworthy, and compassionate cleaning and organizing assistance. I also offer lower to no cost kitchen cleanings for folks really in need of help. If you're in Portland, cannot afford my rate, and have a very dirty kitchen, I'll happily come clean it at a reduced rate or no charge — just reach out via text and include a photo of your kitchen to see if you qualify! All I ask in return is to allow me to photograph the space for my portfolio.

A light, refreshing cleanse of all common areas — including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and cleaning every surface. For a more invigorating process, such as scrubbing the grime off cupboards and floors, I recommend a Deep Clean instead. Simple Clean is ideal for recurring cleanings, and each session can be tailored to fit your specific needs!

This option covers everything a Simple Clean does, but for larger homes or bigger messes. Including spot cleaning walls and doors, wiping down baseboards, and thoroughly cleaning up to two full bathrooms.
Please note — if your kitchen hasn't been deep cleaned in over a year, and there's visible, built-up grime and grease throughout, you may want to book a Major Clean to ensure there's enough time to cover the other areas of your home — or consider booking a Deep Clean just for your kitchen if it REALLY needs a reset!

Life can get messy — literally. When faced with adversity or daily demands, cleaning often falls by the wayside. It becomes very easy for clutter, grime, and disorganization to take over until it's too big to manage alone. If your home feels consumed by mess — whether it’s built-up grease and grime, scattered trash and dishes, or clutter in every corner — this service is designed to bring you lasting relief! This is also the ideal option for move out cleanings where everything, including baseboards and inside of drawers, needs a full scrubdown.
This is a deep, transformative cleaning tailored for spaces that need extra love and elbow grease. Depending on the extent of the mess, cleanup may take multiple sessions — but rest assured, I approach every project with energy, efficiency, and zero judgment.

I've been quite successful in tackling many organizing projects solo — however, you're welcome to be as involved with this process as you'd like! Have a parent in your life who could use a break? A loved one recovering from an illness or injury? A relaxing home is the perfect gift for anyone you love. To gift a cleaning, simply select the amount ($25 = 60 mins), fill in the required information, and then send it over to whomever. They can book their appointment whenever they're ready to! Want to add a personal touch? I'll pick up flowers and their favorite snack, along with a custom message card, to really make it special for them. Simply shoot me a text to coordinate a surprise element!
